The function of the Parker Prädifa wiper rings profiles A1 is to prevent dust, dirt, grains of sand, and metal swarf from penetrating into the dynamic rod guidance.  This is achieved by a special design which largely prevents the development of chamfers, protects the guiding parts, and extends the working life of the seals, This wiper ring profile Al provides a technically accurate closure at the cylinder; no screw rings and brackets are required. No close tolerances are necessary and no metal inserts. The corrosion which may occur with metal-cased wipers will be prevented. For the groove recess, close tolerances are not required.

plungers and rod-guidances.

Installation:

The wiper ring profile A1 is supplied as a continuous ring. Any pressure on the back of the ring should be avoided. For rod diameters of 80 mm and larger the wiper rings profile Al made of POM may be snapped into close grooves. Pre-heating of the rings in water or oil will facilitate the assembly. However, the scrapers should not be warmed to more than + 80°C.
