The function of the Parker Prädifa polyurethane wiper rings profile A5 is to prevent dust, dirt, grains of sand and metal shavings, etc., from penetrating. This is achieved by a special design that largely prevents the development of scores, protects the guiding parts, and extends the service life of the seals. The wiper requires no screwing or brackets for their installation. No close tolerances are necessary and no metal inserts required. The wiper is supplied as a continuous ring; it may easily be installed into the grooves recess. The polyurethane compound ensures excellent properties with regard to dry run, increased wear-resistance, and extended service life due to good resistance against ozone and radiation caused by weather conditions. Any pressure loads on the back of the rings should be avoided.

Profile Parker Praedifa A5 wiper rings are used for axially operated rods in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, plungers, and rod guides.

Working temperature:        -40 to +80 ºC

for short intervals:                up to +95 ºC

Surface speed:                       ≤ 1 m/s

Installation:

In cases where the inner diameter exceeds 20mm, the wiper ring may normally be snapped into grooves of relatively simple design. For smaller diameters, it is essential to design open grooves. Any contact of the wiper lip with piston rod eyes or other connecting parts should be avoided. It is recommended, however, that the wipers be installed outside the
casings, so that the wiped-off dirt may be easily removed.

MOLYTHANE®, a compound of approx. 93 Shore A hardness based on polyurethane.
